Luiz Felipe Scolari admits Sunday’s 4-0 win over Portsmouth was the perfect start to his reign as Chelsea manager, but the Brazilian has promised his side’s title rivals there is even better to come.
The Blues sent out an ominous warning to champions Manchester United with a crushing victory over the FA Cup winners although Scolari admits Chelsea will have to maintain, if not better, the standard they have set to claim back The Premier League.
“It’s the perfect start and more than I expected
," said Scolari. "In the game against Portsmouth last season we had many difficulties, too many.

Bolton are likely to sign Quinton Fortune if he comes through Saturday's pre-season game against Burnley.
The 29-year-old South African, who has been troubled by a a long-standing knee injury, left Manchester United at the end of last season.
"He just has to finish one game for us now because everything else is looking great," said Bolton boss Sam Allardyce.
"If he can come through that, hopefully we will both be smiling with him joining Bolton early next week."
Fortune, a midfielder who can also play in defence, joined Manchester United in 1999 for £1.5m from Atletico Madrid.
He made 76 appearances before being released at the end of the season
